Introduction: How to Install '15+ Subaru WRX Switchback LED DRL Bezel

This guide will show you how to install the switchback LED daytime running light fog bezel for the 2015-2017 Subaru WRX and WRX STi. Using our switchback LED DRLs will have other drivers notice you and earn you some style points with its super glossy look against your paint job.

Step 1: Remove Your Stock Fog Bezel From Your Bumper.

Use a flathead screwdriver to pry it out or just pull it out using your hand.

Plug in the module box to the included wiring harness.

Step 2: Drop the Wiring Harness and Module Box Down From the Engine Bay.

Route the LED DRL module box adapter out from the fog lamp area.

Step 3: Connect the New Switchback LED DRL Foglamp Bezel to the Module Box Cable.

Step 4: Take Off the Plastic Clips Holding the Bumper and the Wheel Well Together to Give You Access to the Rear Fog Light Area.

Step 5: Plug in the Included Wiring Harness.

We've already unplugged the turn signal harness from the turn signal bulb, circled in red in the diagram.

Disconnect the turn signal harness from the turn signal bulb. Plug the former into the wiring harness, marked as #1 in the diagram above. Plug in the harness adapter (indicated as #2) back into the turn signal bulb. Essentially, the wiring harness is plugged in between the turn signal bulb and turn signal harness.

Step 6: Run the Wiring Harness Below the Radiator.

Running the wiring harness below the radiator will keep the wiring cooler and ensure it's lengthy enough to reach all the connection points. If it's still not long enough, use the included extension wires to complete the connections.

Repeat steps 3-5.

Step 7: Connect the Wires to a Power Source.

Connect the black wire to the negative(-) car battery connection and the red wire to the ACC 12V positive(+) connection in the fuse box. Since there is only one pin port for the ACC connection, you can bend or cut off one of the pins on the fuse adapter.

Step 8: Test Your Switchback LED DRLs.

Make sure they not only light up, but the switchback function works as well.

Put the clips holding the bumper to the wheel well back in place to finish.

Enjoy your new switchback LED daytime running light foglamp bezel!
