Introduction: How to Knit a Scarf With Multiple Yarns.

In this instructable you will learn how to create a multicolored scarf with tassels on the end.

*Before you start this knitting this scarf, you must know how to cast on and cast off, and how to do the knit stitch.

Supplies

Bernat baby blanket yarn (3 colors).
Size 5 knitting needles
Size 3.25 crochet hook

Step 1: Getting Started

- Cast on 50 stitches with yarn color 1.
- Knit 17-19 rows with yarn color 1 using the knit stitch.

Step 2: Changing Colors

- Cut yarn color 1 and then put your yarn color 2 next to it.
- Then, make a slip-knot.
*see: https://sheepandstitch.com/library/how-to-tie-a-slip-knot-for-knitting/
- After that, check the tightness of the knot. It should be tight and not come loose at all.
- Then, cut the extra yarn at the end of the slip knot and then check the knot tightness again.

Step 3: Repeat

Knit with yarn color 2 for 17-19 rows.

Then follow the directions from step 2 to change to yarn color three.

Knit yarn color 3 for 17-19 rows.

Repeat this cycle for yarn colors 1, 2 and 3 for 21 or more total color sections. The number of sections will depend on how long you want your scarf to be.

Step 4: Casting Off

Cast off all 50 stitches.

Then knot off the end of your yarn.

Then cut off the excess yarn.
