Introduction: How to Load and Fire a .40 Caliber Pistol
Step 1: What You'll Need
• .40 Caliber Pistol
• .40 Caliber Ammunition
• Extra magazine (optional)
• Holster
Step 2: Turn Safety On!
Safety is located at the top left (L) side of the pistol. Push lever up. Red dot indicates that safety is engaged. (Unless you are about to fire, safety should stay on.)
Step 3: Eject Magazine
Press button on (L) side of hand grip to eject magazine.
Step 4: Load Magazine
Insert ammo into magazine, with the bronze tip facing forward, until the magazine is full.
Step 5: Insert Magazine
Slide magazine back into pistol until it clicks. (Clicking indicates that it is locked in place.)
Step 6: Remove Safety
Disengage the safety button by pushing lever in the down position.
Step 7: Cock It!
Pull back slide on top of the barrel to load bullet into the firing chamber.
Step 8: Aim
Aim at target
Step 9: Position Trigger Finger
Place pointer finger on the trigger, when ready to fire.
Step 10: Fire!
Squeeze the trigger. Fully release trigger between shots.

Do you have to re-cock between shots? (I'm from the UK where few people other than the police have guns.)

No you do not. It is a semi-automatic so you can cock it once and continue to pull the trigger until it is empty.
