How to Make Brown Sugar
Intro: How to Make Brown Sugar
This recipe is so simple. It all came about because I was out of Brown Sugar. Since I had all the ingredients…….why not make my own. This way it’s always fresh and organic.
STEP 1: Ingredients and Method
Ingredients:
1 Cup Organic Cane Sugar
1 TBS Organic Unsulphured Blackstrap Molasses
Method:
In a food processor and your ingredients. Pulse on high for 2-3 minutes.
Label and store in an air- tight container.
Tada......you're all done. If you need to make a bigger batch just remember it's 1 Tbsp to each cup of sugar. You can add more molasses if you need a darker brown sugar.
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out this quick and easy DIY recipe. For more recipe's please visit my blog here.

Here's a little clarification and thank you for your question.
Unsulphured molasses is the finest quality. It is made from the juice of sun-ripened cane and the juice is clarified and concentrated. Molasses from the first boiling is the finest grade because only a small amount of sugar has been removed.
Sulphured molasses is made from green sugar cane that has not matured long enough and is treated with sulphur fumes during the sugar extracting process. The second boil molasses takes on a darker color, is less sweet and has a more pronounced flavor.
