Introduction: How to Make Chocolate Biscotti's

Supplies:

Oven

Bowl

Measuring cups

Measuring spoons

Blender

Spatula

Cookie sheet

Cooling rack

Knife

Ingredients:

½ cup softened butter

1 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoons vanilla extract

2½ cups all purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

12 oz mini chocolate chips

Step 1:

Make sure area is clean and tidy to avoid cross-contamination.

Step 2:

Take out all the ingredients to confirm you have the amount required to proceed with the recipe.

Step 3:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 4:

Add softened butter and brown sugar into a bowl. Beat at a medium speed for one minute.

Step 5:

Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined, about one minute.

Step 6:

Add flour, baking powder and salt, mix until well combined

Step 7:

Fold in mini chocolate chips by scraping the sides of the bowl with a spatula and folding the mixture over itself until chocolate chips are evenly distributed.

Step 8:

Remove batter from bowl and shape, with your hands, into 2 approximately 10” x 2” logs. To make it easier to shape, without sticking to your hands, wet your hands with water to make the logs look smoother. Shape onto a lined or greased baking sheet.

Step 9:

Bake for 22 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven. Biscotti logs should be golden and harder on top. When poking a toothpick in it, it should come out clean. Once done, remove from oven and allow to cool for 30 minutes to let the biscotti completely harden.

Step 10:

Lower oven temperature to 300 degrees F. Slice logs into ½ inch slices and place on cookie sheet laying them on their side. Each log will make about 10 slices.

Step 11:

Bake slices for 10 minutes then flip and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Slices should be crispy on the outside.

Bon Appetite!
