Introduction: How to Make Continuity Tester Using BC547 Transistor

About: Share diy projects to those who have the same hobby with me

Hii friend,

Today I am going to make a circuit of continuity tester.Using this circuit we can test continuity of many components like as Diode, LED etc. This circuit I will make using BC547 transistor.

Let's get started,

Step 1: Take All Components As Shown Below

Components required -

(1.) Transistor - BC547 x1

(2.) LED - 3V x1

(3.) Resistor - 220 ohm x2

(4.) Resistor - 10K x1

(5.) Buzzer x1

(6.) Battery clipper (Remove from old battery) x1

(7.) Battery - 9V x1

(8.) Probes (+ve probe and -ve probe)

Step 2: Transistor BC547

Pins of BC547 transistor

Step 3: Solder Transistor

Solder emmiter pin of transistor to +ve pin of battery clipper as shown in the picture.

Step 4: Connect 10K Resistor

Next we have to solder 10K resistor between Base pin and emmiter pin of the transistor as you can see in the picture.

Step 5: Solder 220 Ohm Resistor

Solder 220 ohm resistor to base pin of the transistor as solder in the picture.

Step 6: Connect Buzzer to the Circuit

Solder +ve pin of buzzer to -ve of battery clipper and

Solder -ve pin of buzzer to collector pin of the transistor as solder in the picture.

Step 7: Connect 220 Ohm Resistor

Solder 220 ohm resistor to +ve leg of LED.

Step 8: Connect LED to the Circuit

Next we have to solder LED to the circuit.

Solder +ve leg of LED to -ve of battery clipper and

-ve leg of LED to collector pin of transistor as you can see in the picture.

Step 9: Connect Wires of Probe

Now Solder +ve probe to -ve of battery clipper and

Solder -ve probe to 220 ohm resistor which is solder in the base of transistor as you can see in the picture.

Step 10: How Can We Use

Now our circuit is ready so Connect battery to the battery clipper and use this circuit for continuity test.

As we can test Diodes,Wires,LEDs etc.
