Intro: How to Make Cool (but Weird) Sounds With Your Guitar

How to make sounds with your guitar and a pearl drum key.

STEP 1: Materials.

This list is pretty long so pay attention.

- Guitar (doesnt matter what kind)

- Drum key (I use a Pearl Key)

STEP 2: Step One

This is hard to explain without a camera so I will try my best.

Take the long flat end of the key (the part with the pearl label) and lay it over all the strings.

STEP 3: Slide

Just slide the key around and it makes some weird noises.

Yep. Played my guitar yesterday for about 5 min, got bored and took the key from my drum set.

this is just like using a slide. a slide is just a tube made from metal, ceramics, glass, etc, and it fits around ur finger. usually the middle but some people rfer other fingers. serac it on youtube

This is basically a guitar steel or a low-class slide. Try looking into Delta Blues style guitar if you want to learn to play music with this technique.
