Introduction: How to Make Henna Tattoo and Apply It

Step 1: Gather All of Your Ingredients and Tools.

  • Henna powder
  • Lavender oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Sugar
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk/mixing tool
  • Refrigerator
  • Zip lock bag (medium size)
  • Scissors
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Measuring cups (¼ cup, ½ teaspoon)

Step 2: Grab Mixing Bowl and Whisk and Measure Out ¼ Cup of Henna Powder.

Step 3: Measure Out ¼ Cup of Lemon Juice and Begin Mixing With the Henna Powder in the Bowl Until Smooth Consistency.

Step 4: Add ½ Teaspoon of Sugar and ½ Teaspoon of Lavender Essential Oil in to the Same Bowl.

Step 5: Begin Mixing Ingredients Together Until All of the Ingredients Are Blended Together.

Step 6: Cover Up Henna Mixture in Bowl With Plastic Wrap.

Step 7: Put Mixture in Refrigerator and Let It Sit for 24 Hours at Minimum.

Step 8: Once Mixture Is Done Sitting in Refrigerator for the Recommended Time, Proceed to Scooping Up the Mixture From the Bowl With a Spoon and Putting It Into a Zip Lock Bag.

Step 9: : Grab Scissors and Cut One of the Bottom Corners of Zip Lock Bag, Making a Tiny Cut. Before Zipping the Bag Shut, Make Sure All the Air Is Out of the Bag.

Step 10: Apply Mixture in Shape of Desired Design.

Step 11: Wait at Least 30 Minutes for the Mixture to Dry or Until It Dries and Peels Off. Keep in Mind, the Longer the Mixture Is On, the Darker the Tattoo Will Be.

The tattoo will be fairly light at first, however it darkens even more over the next day, and then will slowly lighten over the next week or so until it disappears.

Step 12: Enjoy Your Henna Tattoo and Show It Off!
