Introduction: How to Make Homemade Stickers

About: I am a conceptual artist, and my DIY projects are mostly inspired by pop culture (movies, music, sports, TV). I mostly specialize in painting, graphic design, drawing, digital photography, performance art, and…

Homemade is always (if not always) better! So, why not make some stickers from scratch? These are super easy to make and no artistic skills are required!

Step 1: Materials

All you need to make homemade stickers are the following items...

  • white paper (you can also use printable sticker paper)
  • markers / crayons / colored pencils
  • wax paper
  • scissors
  • double stick tape

Step 2: Make the Sticker Designs

The first step in making homemade stickers is creativity and how you choose to approach it. Make your designs on a piece of white paper, by drawing whatever you like. You can also print out images using your computer. Please note that the size and shape of your drawings will be the actual size and shape of your final sticker.

Step 3: Add Double Stick Tape and Cut

Now, place a few strips of double stick tape to the back of your designs. Don't worry if they go outside the design, since you're going to cut around them anyway! Now, all you have to do is simply cut out your designs. This part might take some time depending on the sizes of your stickers.

Step 4: Display

Now, you can store your stickers on a piece of wax paper, since this will make it so easy for you to peel off when you want to use them later. You can use your homemade stickers to decorate your notebooks or greeting cards!
