Introduction: How to Make a Heat Bag!
This instructable will teach you how to sew a heat bag!
- 100% cotton material
- Sewing Machine
- Filling (Rice, Wheat, etc)
- Pinking Shears
- Measuring Tape
- Essential Oil
Step 1: Cut Your Fabric
Cut and measure your fabric to roughly 14cm wide and 50cm long using measuring tape and scissors.
Using pinking shears to cut your fabric will help stop fraying.
Step 2: Sew Your Bag
Fold your fabric in half.
Sew around the right side of the fabric facing each other. Leave a four-centimetre gap at the end.
The right side is the side that you want to be displayed on the outside of the finished product.
Step 3: Iron Your Heat Bag
Turn your heat bag right way out.
Iron the bag.
Ironing is optional but doing so will create a sharper look.
Step 4: Filling Your Heat Bag
If you are using essential oils, mix in with your choice of filling.
If not, skip this step. Once your filling is ready, pour in the filling through the hole that you left using the funnel. Fill it to just over halfway or to your liking.
Step 5: Top Stitching
Topstitch around your heat bag, sealing the hole.
This step is optional and you don't have to topstitch around the whole bag. Just make sure that you seal the hole.
Step 6: Heat It Up!
Your heat bag is done!
You can now heat it up in the microwave for about 2 minutes or according to your liking.
