Hidden Folder!!

This Instructable will show you how to make a hidden folder on the desktop of your computer

Step 1: Create a New Folder

1. Go to your desktop

2. Right Click

3. Select New

4. Select Folder

Step 2: Change Folder Icon

1. Right Click on the New Folder

2. Select Properties

3. Select the Customize tab

4. Select Change Icon

5. Scroll over until you see 3 blank spaces

6. Select one of the 3 blank spaces

7. Click Ok

8. Click Apply

9. Click Ok

Step 3: Rename Folder

1. Right click on the folder

2. Select Rename

3. Backspace New Folder

4. Turn on your Number Lock key in your keyboard

5) Hold down the Alt key on your keyboard

• For some computers it will be Fn + Alt

6. Type in 0160

7. Press Enter

So I did this with Windows 10 and now I have the folder name hidden, but for some reason the icon shows as a black box. Any ideas on how to get the box to go invisible?

I had that happen with windows 8 myself. The only fix I could find is to go back into the change icon section and change the icon back to one of the invisible ones agian. It can be a pain as it keeps changing back to black after a while. Did the folder go black as soon as you changed the icon or was it invisible at first and then turned black a little while later?
