How to Make a Life Size T Rex Hand Wall Mount

This is a full-size T-Rex hand wall mount.

Supplies

• Template
• 4” diameter tube
• 2 cardboard toilet paper roll
• 2 plastic knives
• Duct tape
• 2 pages of newspaper
• Paper mâché
• Paint

Step 1:

Print this template.

Step 2:

Cut the 4” diameter tube to the length you want the T-Rex arm.

Step 3:

....cut a paper towel tube in half to make two T-Rex fingers...

Step 4:

Using the template, cut the T-Rex fingers to size.

Step 5:

Attach the fingers to the arm and use tape to secure.

Step 6:

Add plastic knives to the small tubes using tape.

Step 7:

Make sure fingers are attached securely. Secure the smaller tube with knives attached to the larger tube with heavy tape.

Step 8:

Add newspaper between the fingers to create a rounded hand.

Step 9:

Add some tape loosely over the newspaper to attach to the larger tube.

Step 10:

Cover all of the paper with tape.

Step 11:

Pinch the top of the smaller tube around the plastic knife. Secure with tape.

Step 12:

Start adding paper mâché to the larger tube.

Step 13:

Add paper mâché between the fingers.

Step 14:

Apply paper mâché to the plastic knives.

Step 15:

Working down add paper mâché to the smaller tubes.

Step 16:

Be sure to cover all areas with the paper mâché.

Step 17:

Let dry overnight. Repeat the paper mâché application for a second coat. Let dry overnight.

Step 18:

Paint using colors you chose. Let the paint dry overnight.

Step 19:

Your T-Rex arm is finished!! Attach to the wall and enjoy!!!
