You can use this for any garage or workshop to help prevent the loss of nuts and bolts during repairs.

Thanks to the magnet taken out of an old speaker, you can attach the tray vertical, upside down on any steel frame.

I've got a bunch of donut magnets I saved from microwave oven harvests, this is a good use for one of them, thanks.

Noisey hard drives are a good source for strong magnets.

Probably the same, They're both ceramic magnets

Thanks for this idea and magnet sources...i use magnets for pet collars ...for electric pet doors. It is most convenient, however, to have a hole in middle to fasten with a cable tie to collar.

I found a $3 one http://www.harborfreight.com/4-inch-magnetic-parts-tray-90566.html but can't seem to find the free one.

it's the same one, u just get it for free when u use the coupon from the mailer.
Honestly, I got it by coupon.
What you should do? When you came to this store sign up for mail from them, you will receive every month coupons from them. Also check the Sunday Records with coupons, I observed these coupons very often there. There also other good stuff see on pictures, I got already dozen flashlights, couple tarps, rope, half dozen of screwdrivers. AA batteries(24 in pack) it was free and so good for small presents to your friends and relatives.

That link goes to a catalog of wrenches; could you please link to the exact link you got that? I am very interested...

I am not work for them, but I want people to save some money. :)))

We get the Harbor Freight ad mailed to us too!! Love them!! Their magnetic trays r awesome & cheap w coupon but even better free with purchase!! Your idea is good too for recycling stuff that's not being used & to keep it out of our landfills, save money, not have to spend money u that u don't need to either.

Why pay anything when you can just follow this an make one for free. The only change I would make is to a rounded metal piece to fit inside and sandwich the magnet on the inside of the tray, that way you won't have a wobbly tray. Nice job Engineer of none

This would also work for pins and needles in the sewing room.

I stuck a speaker frm a broken transistor radio to the lid of a jam jar [actually it stuck itself magnetically].I keep needles and pins in the jar-very effective

I think I can manage this one.Fun and pratical.

Thank you
