How to Make a Metal Tree

For this instructable, I chose to make a metal tree out of some coat hangers. It can be used for Halloween, or just around the house. I do suggest that you include it with other decorations, as it may look odd if not.

Step 1: Materials

Needle nose pliers
Wire cutters tape
Tin foil
2 metal coat hangers

Step 2: Cut the Wire

Cut the wire at the twisted part, then straighten the wire out. Cut it in half, then in half again, so that you have 4 pieces. Do this twice so you have 8 pieces drom 2 hangers.

Step 3: Shape the Wire

Make 4 pieces like the one on the left, then use the rest like the ones on the right.

Step 4: Assemble

Assemble them in a pattern like shown, then secure it with some duct tape.

Step 5: Add the Rest

Secure the rest around the top, then put tape around it.

Step 6: Wrap Some Tinfoil

Wrap some tinfoil around it, then put some tape on it. Wrap the rest, then put a tiny piece of tape on it just to secure it.

Step 7: (Optional) Paint

I spray painted mine so that it looks good. I did not have brown spray paint, so I painted it orange. It is kind of like a Halloween tree, but you can paint it any color you like.
