Introduction: How to Make a Paper Chipmunk
Watch the video or read the step by step instructions to learn how to put together this paper chipmunk. Super easy even for little kids! Depending on one's cutting and folding skills, this will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 1: Download and Print the Chipmunk Paper Cutout
Go to the piiig.com resource page and download the paper cutout. Print on heavy card stock paper so that the chipmunk will retain its shape.
Step 2: Get Your Materials Ready
You will need a glue stick, scissors and a pen.
Step 3: Cut Out the Pieces and Fold Along Dotted Lines
To ensure a crisp fold when using card stock paper, try using the dull part of your scissor to score the dotted lines for easier folding and carefully press the fold flat with your fingers.
Step 4: Glue the Body Pieces
Put glue on the white edges and press firmly together the head and body pieces. For better clarification, please watch the instructional video.
Step 5: Add the Tail!
Put the tail piece in between your thumb and the side of the pen. While your thumb is firmly pressed down, use your other hand to pull the tail downward in one brisk motion. The more you do this, the more the tail will curl. Glue the tail to the bottom of the chipmunk's body and wait to dry. That's all!

Yes squirrels are very cute! They look similar to chipmunks but chipmunks live underground and have a stripe down their back. How are squirrels so popular right now?
