Introduction: How to Make a Pride Flag on Tinkercad

About: Hey I love doing knex and making ball machines, most of mine will be kinda small due to lack of pieces but I still enjoy it none the less, I hope you will enjoy looking at my instructables (ask for instruction…

Hey guys, today I felt like I needed to support and be more inclusive to all types of people so I decided to make a Pride Flag to embrace people however they are (I'm trying to show my support to the LGBTQ+ community because I'm not a part of it), this is going to be detailed instruction on how to make this great design (Its also my first time using Tinkercad, comment tips to help me out).

Supplies

All you need to make this is the Tinkercad Website and a electronic device to run it on

Step 1: Making the Pole

  1. You want to get the cylinder shape from the shape bar on the side
  2. You will want to manipulate it to make it tall (99 high)
  3. Then click on the color where it shows the different options for changing the cylinder
  4. I changed it to black but you can change it to whatever you really want
  5. Try to center your flagpole (This is going to be important when adding the text)
  6. This is a pretty simple step and you should have something looking like my picture at the end of this step

Step 2: Making the Stripes on the Flag

  1. You want to get the cube shape from the shape bar on the side
  2. You will want to manipulate it to make it thin and like a stripe (4 or 5 high) length should be between 55 and 58 long
  3. You will want to use the cone on top of the shape to drag the shape up and use arrow keys to move it into position for getting on the flagpole
  4. Once you get it into a position on the flag that you are satisfied with use ctrl + c and ctrl + v to make 6 copies and arrange them accordingly
  5. To change their color, click on the color icon in the options bar on the side and change them to the colors of the rainbow
  6. If you did all the steps properly it should look something similar to the image that is presented to you

Step 3: Final Touches

  1. You want to select the text option from the shape bar
  2. You will want it to take up the length of the whole square and give height to your needs
  3. In the options bar you will see an option to change the text, you can change it to whatever you want
  4. You will also be able to change the color of the text from the same spot that you guys did for the other 2 shapes, make it whatever you want
  5. If you want to rotate it so that it is facing straight towards you you can do so using the arrows that somewhat point up and down, they rotate it (there are more than 1 set of these so you might have to do some hunting for it)

You are now done with my instructions, if you have any suggestions comment them for me and I hope yours turned out well just like mine, thanks for following along with this
