Hello everyone!

In this Instructable I will show you how you can make a wooden toy Renault Turbo sportcar!

Supplies

Tools I used:

- Jointer/planer

- Tablesaw

- Bandsaw

- Scroll saw

- Sander

- Drill press

Materials I used:

- Wood glue

- Superglue

- Clamps

Step 1: The Body of the Car

Picture 1: Rough cut your lumber and plane it down to the right thickness. I have plans available on my Patreon page for Patreon members. Transfer the plans onto the wood and cut them out on the bandsaw. I'm using double-sided tape to cut the identical pieces at the same time.

Picture 2: Sand all the seats smooth.

Picture 3: Glue the three middle layers together.

Picture 4: Drill 2 7mm holes for the axles to go through.

Step 2: Adding the Details

Picture 1: Draw the mudguards on 4mm plywood. Use the sides of the car to get the right shape for the mudguards. When you've transfered the shape, you can glue the sides to the car. Cut out the mudguards on the bandsaw or scroll saw.

Picture 2: It's time to put a roof on the car.

Picture 3: Trim everything flush on the bandsaw.

Picture 4: Glue on the mudguards.

Picture 5: Cut out some bumpers on the bandsaw and glue them onto the front and back of the car.

Picture 6: Add front and rear lights.

Picture 7: Detail on the bonnet.

Picture 8: Make your mirrors out of 4mm plywood. Give them some shape with the dremel. Drill 4mm holes in the sides of the car and glue them in place.

Picture 9: 32mm wheels on a 6mm dowel.

Finish with mineral oil!
