Intro: How to Make a Sliding Door in Minecraft

Materials: 6 Pistons, 4 Pressure plates, 2 Redstone torch's, 14 blocks,12 Redstone and 4 glass blocks

Alright let's get started.

STEP 1: Pistons

Place 3 pistons on top of each other, then 4 blocks to the right, do the same. (make sure there facing inwards)

STEP 2: The Hole

Dig a 2 block hole as shown in the the picture.

STEP 3: Redstone

Place a block on either side on the middle of the 3 pistons and put a redstone torch under and redstone dust on top.

STEP 4: Covering Up the Hole

Cover up your hole, then, place your pressure plates 2x2 on each side.

STEP 5: Finishing It

Now put your glass blocks on the sticky pistons.

STEP 6: Adding a Few Touches

In this step you just cover up anything that you want to.

How do you cover up the hole while maintaining the distance for redstone activation? Two blocks is too deep, and one block doesn't allow me to cover it up without interfering with the pistons and glass blocks.

A picture I forgot to add. When you make the hole, make sure to place Redstone on all the blocks inside the hole and on the one block deep hole on either side.

I just made this with out the Redstone. You need 4 Sticky Pistons, 4 glass. 1: place the pistons the way he did (just really wide for a double door). 2; place the glass on the sticky part on both sides. 3: cover the glass . 4: then place two levers on the top pistons .
Then you got your sliding glass door you just can’t close it from the outside so leave it open when you’re outside...or else you’ll be trapped outside

Yes that is another way to make sliding doors, on the other hand they are not automatic

Ok 2 questions one is is it normal pistons or sticky pistons and the second question is do u habe to liight the redstone up when it is inside the hole? pls get back to me but take your time thx for reading :D

In step 2 you need to make sure you covered the ground in red stone. Otherwise i don't know what else would be going wrong, sorry for the inconvenience and i hope this helped :D
