Introduction: How to Make a Strait Jacket
Going INSANE cause you don't have a costume yet for halloween. Worry no more because Rob shows us a crazy tutorial on how to make your very own strait jacket from Threadbanger's Haloweeny How-To's! Watch the full episode at Threadbanger.com!
Step 1:
To begin, you will need two cream colored button down shirts, one bigger than the other. You will also need 6-8 black or dark brown leather belts. (try to use belts with thinner, smoother leather) Start with the larger shirt and with a seam ripper, remove the front pocket and all buttons and the collar.
Step 2:
Fold back the button plackets on both sides, pin and stitch down both sides of the shirt. Fold down the neck opening, pin and stitch. Next with the smaller shirt, remove the sleeves.
Step 3:
Now to extend the sleeves, with the larger shirt laying down flat, align the smaller shirt's sleeves on top of the larger shirt until they match. Trim excess fabric (sleeve cap) from smaller sleeve and cut off the larger shirt's sleeves right below where they match.Fit both sleeves together, pin and sew together on the machine. Remove both sleeve buttons and sew along both cuff openings to seal arm holes closed.
Step 4:
- You will need leather sewing needles for this part.
Step 5:
Next you will attach a belt to the sleeves. Place buckle end of the belt on one sleeve, mark and cut the belt. With the remaining part end of the belt, place on the other sleeve, mark and sew both belt pieces onto the sleeves.
If you would like to add holes to the belt, you do so easily with a power drill or a soldering iron.
Congratulations! you have made a straight jacket! Please make sure someone can get you out of that thing! And visit Threadbanger.comThreadbanger.com for more Halloweeny-How To's!

Can I wear this in an waterway? For that is what a "Strait" is, now if anyone has instructions for an "Straight" jacket now that would be cool.

I think that you mean "a waterway"
and "a 'straight'"

Chill out bro. I saw you didn't even have ONE insrtuctable. Let alone a correct one.

Actually... the spellings straightjacket and straight-jacket are erroneous, when in fact, "strait" means "tight" or "narrow".

A strait is a narrow, navigable channel of water that connects two larger navigable bodies of water. It most commonly refers to a channel of water that lies between two land masses.

"Straitjacket" is the correct spelling. Try looking the word up before correcting people.

Did I try correcting anyone? NUMM NUDZ

Yes, you did. In your very first comment in this chain, you attempted to correct threadbanger's (correct) spelling of "straitjacket." In your response to Singlefin's comment, you reinforced your correction in a pathetic attempt to back up your incorrect claim. You are now correcting me, even though I made a true statement, and you made two previous incorrect ones.
Try reading the comment chain before correcting people and lying about your actions.

actually, no, he didnt correct anyone, he's just making himself feel like he's "cool" by telling other people's mistakes, while, in his"coolness" making a whole bunch of his own i.e. not actually correcting anyone, but saying his own (dumb) opinion. which is wrogn by the way.

Very true. But the word "strait" has several meanings. "Tight" being one of them. That is the meaning invoked in this context.

Ha! I made one of these when I was 10. I didn't tie up the arms because I was scared of the bigger kids in the neighborhood beating me up and taking my candy! Great to see it again!
