Intro: How to Make a Tenoning Jig | DIY Table Saw Jig

This tenoning jig is quick and easy to make, and is a safe way to cut tenons on a table saw.

STEP 1: Cutting the Sliders

I begin by cutting down some 3/4” plywood on my table saw to make the various parts needed. I also rip down some slider pieces that will run along the fence on the table saw and allow the jig to move.

STEP 2: Cutting the Top Cap

I measure the width needed for the top cap on the fence to the edges of the slider pieces and rip down the exact dimension of top cap needed.

STEP 3: Installing the Top Cap

I apply wood glue to the top edges of the sliders and use wood screws to secure the top cap in place until the wood glue dries.

STEP 4: Installing the Side Piece

I apply some wood glue to one side of the slider pieces and then secure the main jig piece to the side of the slider pieces with wood screws.

STEP 5: Drilling Clamp Holes

I install some hole openings in the jig to allow for a D clamp to pass through and hold the work piece in place.
