Introduction: How to Make a Yarn Butterfly

Step 1: What You Need

Solid color yarn in two different colors
Scissors

Step 2: Lay Out Yarn

Lay out the color yarn that you want for the wings like a slithering snake or like you are making a paper fan
Make it so there is 5 loops on either side

Step 3: Scrunch and Tie

Get a piece of yarn from the other color and place under the yarn for the wings like you cut it in half
Tie a double knot on the yarn that is cutting the snake in half very tightly
Cut off the access yarn leaving about an inch of extra yarn and adjust to the style you like the butterfly
