About: 3D printing maniac/ runner

I personally love to go geocaching, it's one of the most fun thing to do for free. Hiding a geocache is very difficult so this Instructable is made to help with your adventure in the outdoors.

Supplies

To hide your geocache you will need to get a few items

  1. A container
  • This could be any size there are many different sizes
  • The best container to use are water tight containers, these will keep the content dry for users

A log book--------This might be the most important item to put into you geocache

  • This could be anything from a notebook or and logbook from the geocaching store
  • or you could print it out

Step 1: Choosing a Location

When hiding an geocache there is many things to take into consideration:

  • You need to know where you want to hide your geocache for example you could hide it in a park or you can hide on a hiking trail.
  • you will need to take into consideration that people other than geocacher might find your geocache so you will need to find a good location to hide it
  • importantly stay away from schools and playgrounds, hiding in these location might cause trouble for you or for users

Step 2: Determining Size

The size of your cache is important so take into consideration which size you want to use. Depending on your location there might be some restriction on what you should do on size. For example don't take a "normal" sized geocache and hide it in a highly visited area in the city where non-user will find it, you want it so that ordinary people won't be find but user will be able to. Out in the wood would be perfect for hiding "normal" sized to "larges", and in suburbs you want "others" and "smalls"

Step 3: Logging Your Cache

It is important to log your cache on to the geocaching app make sure to get precise coordinate on the caches's location. It is best to add a hint or a vague hint in the name. Also make sure that your cache is sealed properly when finished.

Step 4: Finally

Geocache is a worldwide event and while hiding a geocache take into consideration how difficult you want your cache to be. It is best to make your cache handicap accessible so everyone can find your cache. make sure to keep your cache in good condition so others can find it in good condition.

Now get out there and Geocaches!
