Introduction: How to Make the Best Fluffy Slime

Do YOU like slime? I know I do! Fluffy slime isn’t the same as other slimes. You can squeeze, stretch, poke and so much more with this slime and it keeps it’s form no matter what.

Materials:

  1. Glue
  2. Shaving Cream
  3. Cornstarch
  4. Borax
  5. Water
  6. Foaming Soap
  7. Food Coloring (Optional)
  8. Lotion (Optional)

Step 1: Step 1

First, we will make the Borax solution with water and set it aside in a separate bowl or cup. In another bowl or cup, combine the glue, shaving cream and soap together. Next, you will mix it together thoroughly until the mixture has no lumps. The mixture will be similar to whipped marshmallow cream. The combination of the glue and shaving cream will create the base of the slime. Adding in the soap will allow the slime to become fluffier. The Borax solution will be added into the mixture later on in the process.

Step 2: Step 2

The next item to be added into the mixture is the cornstarch. Adding in cornstarch helps to thicken up the mixture to form the slime’s shape. The cornstarch is not a necessary step if you prefer a thinner slime. Mix thoroughly. Add lotion into the mixture. Just two pumps of lotion will allow your slime to be stretchier in its final form. Lotion may also be added later on in the process.

Step 3: Step 3

Now we will take the Borax solution that we made in the beginning of Step 1 and add it into the mixture. You will want to slowly add the mixture in a little bit at a time and continue to stir the mixture. It is vital that you only use enough of the Borax solution so that the slime does not harden and eventually break. Food coloring of any color is optional at this point. Add in as much or as little as you would like your slime too look.

Step 4: Step 4

The best part of the process has come. Once the slime has clumped together, you can finally take it out of the cup or bowl it is in and begin kneading it. The slime will be sticky at first but through kneading it on a flat surface, it will form together. If the slime is still sticky after kneading it for a few minutes, add a tiny bit more of the Borax solution and knead it in to help.

Step 5: Step 5

Once the slime is fully kneaded, you can now rub lotion all over the surface of the slime. This will allow the slime to become stretchier and prevent tearing. A few pumps of lotion go a long way. Continue to rub the slime kneading the lotion into it. Repeat until the slime is to the stretchiness you desire.

Step 6: Step 6

Time to play with your slime! This slime is stretchy, squishy and fun to play with. It is great for kids and even adults to keep your hands busy.
