There are many ways of which to mod a Nerf bullet many of which are shown already throughout you tube, websites, and other blogs. Here, I will show a totally different way to mod a Nerf bullet that is easy to do and really effective. I will break down the instructions into steps to make it easier for you to follow along.

Step 1: Materials

The first step is to aquire all of the needed materials which include: a big straw, scissors, a hot glue gun, a nerf dart, some bristol board, coloured bristol board (optional), and some tape.

Step 2: Remove Nerf Dart Tip

The second step is to get your Nerf bullet and remove the orange tip. Your dart should be hollow and see-through if you look through

Step 3: Add Big Straw

Next, after you have removed the orange tip, cut a length of the big straw. Be careful not to make the straw to long or else it would be to heavy and not fly very far, but if it is too short, it won’t fly as efficiently. After you are done cutting the straw put it over the bullet.

After the straw goes over the bullet, tape one end of the straw to the bullet. When you are done with that, apply some hot gule at the end that doesn’t have tape on it. Immediately after, put the tip with hot glue on a bristol board and wait for it to dry.

Step 4: Add Bristol Board

When the hot glue dries on the bristol board, cut the edges of the bristol board from the nerf dart. You should have a circle ish bristol board shape on the nerf dart.

Once you have one circle shaped bristol board on the Nerf dart, you’ll have to make 1 more of the same ting. Now, you’ll have to apply the hot glue on the bristol board instead of he bullet itself. After you are done making the one layers of bristol board you’ll almost be done.

When there is 2 layers of bristol board, you will have to add one more. You can make the last layered bristol board coloured if you want. After you are done making the 3 layers you’ll be done.

To prevent the bristol board layers from falling, you can add a bit of hot glue on the layers. Immediately, smear the hot glue around the bristol board.

Step 5: Enjoy

You are done! Now just fit it in a Nerf blaster, and shoot away. I found the Nerf Firestrike the best gun for the bullet to be shot out of as it has a lot of power.
