Introduction: How to Pair Between RF Transmitter Remote Kit With RF Receiver Control Kit

Description

This kit functions by controlling appliances via a remote wirelessly using RF. In this example, this receiver kit is paired by three types of transmitter remote: (It also can be pair for other type of same frequency transmitter)

  1. 100 m
  2. 1 km
  3. 3 km

The receiver provides control of appliances through the relay and the remote are able to control more than one receivers. It depends on number of buttons of remote. In this example, the 100 m and 1 km remote are able to control 2 receivers where the 3 km remote are able to control 4 receivers.

This kit also allows control between two modes at the receiver kit:

  1. Momentary Mode: When the button is pressed, the relay will turn on but will turn off immediately once the button was released.
  2. Toggle Mode: When the button is pressed, the relay will continue to turn on until the button is pressed again to turn off the relay.

Step 1: Material Preparation

In this set up, you will need to prepare the following materials:

  1. RF Transmitter Remote Kit and RF Receiver Controller Kit
  2. 12V Power Supply (RF Receiver Controller Kit)
  3. Male-Male Jumper Wires
  4. 12V Light Bulb and Holder
  5. Crocodile Clip

Step 2: Pair the Transmitter With the Receiver

Follow the steps as shown in the picture above.

Step 3: Modes on the RF Receiver Control Kit

There are two modes available in this kit as shown in the first two pictures above which are:

  1. Momentary Mode
  2. Toggle Mode

Step 4: Selecting Modes

Follow the steps as shown in the picture above.

Step 5: Connecting 12V Light Bulb to the Relay

Steps

  1. Connect the NO terminal of the relay to the positive pin of the power supply.
  2. Then, connect the COM terminal to the one of the light bulb pin.
  3. Finally, connect the other pin of the light bulb to the negative pin of the power supply.

Note: The light bulb can be replaced with any other appliances that can be controlled by the relay.

Step 6: Results (Toggle Mode)

Based on the pictures above, when the button is pressed and released, the light bulb will stay turned on until the next button press which will turn off the light bulb.

Step 7: Results (Momentary Mode)

For the momentary mode, in order to make sure the light bulb to turn on always, the button must be pressed and should not be released. As shown in the picture above, the light bulb is turned on and the button is pressed constantly (indicated by the red LED on the remote).
