How to Prepare Your Image for Printing and Cutting in Silhouette Studios

I was making stickers and I know others have trouble adding registration marks using silhouette studio's

Supplies

• laptop or computer
• silhouette studio's must be downloaded
• an image or text you want to print and cut

Step 1: Open Silhouette Studios

Once you open Silhouette Studio's, follow rest of the steps below.

Step 2: Select Your File You Want to Print and Cut

Step 3: Registration Marks

• Click the "registration marks" button
• Turn them on
• Make sure your image or text is not touching or outside the lines marked in red (this allows the machine to read those registration marks properly so that your content can cut properly)

Step 4: Tracing

• Select the "trace" button
• Click on "Select trace area"
• Make a box where you want to trace
• Select "trace outer edge"

The steps above allow the machine to read the lines that are traced so you can get the cut you want.

Step 5: Print by Saving

• Click the "save" button to save your file and print later

Step 6: Print Directly From Silhouette

• Click the "files" button
• Click "print"
• and click "print" on the pop-up page

This allows you to print directly from the Silhouette Studios app to your printer

Step 7: Edit Settings and Ready for Cutting

Once you placed your printed paper on the cutting mat of your silhouette and loaded it into the machine follow the steps below.

• Click the "send" button
• Play with the settings to get the right cut for your content. You can always go back to the design page to edit your design if you mess up some cuts.
• make sure your silhouette machine is connected and you have selected it on the app
• Once all is finished click "send"
