Is your child afraid of going to school? Is he always making some excuse or the other for skipping school? If this is your child’s case, what do you do, force your child to go to school?

Have you ever wondered that why is it the your child is so afraid of going to school. What is it that terrifies him? Is he being subjected to any sort of abuse? Maybe there is some kid in the school who has been constantly bullying your child or maybe there is some teacher who has been making your child’s life hell.

Putting an end to school violence is not that easy a task, unless every person involved knows exactly what to do in order to avoid school violence. Everyone from parents to teachers, has a different role to play. For instance, the parents are responsible to provide their children a friendly environment to grow. The teachers are supposed to look after the children so that they can put a stop to violence right at its onset. And lastly, it's the duty of the children to understand the consequences of being violent.

However, in real time it's really difficult for each and everyone involved to take appropriate actions. But that doesn't mean that one can't put an end to violence.

STEP 1: The Parents’ Role

As a parent, when it comes to putting an end to school violence, you play the most crucial role.

It’s the child’s attitude that makes him violent. If the attitude is good and stable, then less are the chances of your child picking up a fight at school. But in case the child’s attitude is unstable then he is more likely to be the epicenter of a fight. So as a parent your responsibility is to understand your child, help them solve their problems and find answers. While you are at it, your approach has to be calm and avoid getting angry and using negative words in front of your child. Plus, take out some time from your busy schedule and spend some quality time with your child.

STEP 2: The Teacher's’ Role

Like the parents, teachers also play an important role. When in the classroom, pay attention to each and every child, treat all of them as equal and make sure that no child is developing a negative attitude. Also, make sure that no child is being bullied. And in case something comes to light or goes wrong, it’s your responsibility to inform and explain things to the parents.

STEP 3: The Student’s Role

As a student, you must understand how bad violence is and how it can ruin yours and others’ future. You should be intelligent enough to differentiate between good and bad. Avoid bad company and in case someone’s attitude is bugging you, instead of taking an action yourself, how about asking your parents or teachers for help.

In conclusion, any type of violence is bad and has the same effects, so create awareness, educate people and stop childhood violence. Let the children breathe easy and free!
