How to Remove Burn Marks From Pots & Pans
Intro: How to Remove Burn Marks From Pots & Pans
Anyone who cooks regularly has burned a pan or pot before.
The real problem after burning a pot is: how to get rid of the black marks?
From experience, I know that scrubbing does not work.
This solution is non-chemical, easy to do, and requires only 'normal' household materials!
STEP 1: Step 1: Materials
Super simple... The only things you need is:
- Ketchup
- Dish washing sponge (or cloth)
STEP 2: Step 2: Apply Ketchup on Burned Area on Pan and Rub With Dish Washing Sponge
That's it.
Just squeeze out a little bit of good old ketchup, and rub the burned area gently using a dish washing sponge.
Don't use too much force when rubbing - it'll scratch the surface of the pan.
STEP 3: Step 3: Rinse Off and TA-DA!
Once you can see some of the original silver shine beneath the darkened ketchup, rinse off and TA-DA!
Clean and sparkly, like nothing had ever happened!
STEP 4: Recommendations
- It'll be wise to wash the food off the pot/pan before using ketchup to remove burn stains
- It may be a good idea to do this process a few times instead of trying to clean off all the stains at once
