Introduction: How to Remove Hot Glue

About: I like making food and trying food!

Hot glue is a great adhesive for crafts, model building, RC models
and tacking things together permanently or temporary. Sometimes there is a need to taking things apart that was joined using hotglue. It's super easy to do and only takes seconds. All you need is some rubbing alcohol.

Step 1: Apply Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol when applied will loosen the hot glue from what it is stuck to. I like to use a spray bottle to apply the glue, the bottle I am using is from the dollarstore. Spraying it on, allows me to apply quickly. You can also use a q-tip to apply so the alcohol doesn't go all over the place.

Apply the alcohol at the seam where the glue meets the material it is adhering to. The alcohol needs a few seconds to work. Apply some light pressure and the glue should separate cleanly from the object.
