Introduction: How to Schedule a Meeting in Microsoft Outlook 2007

Disclaimer: If working long periods of time scheduling meetings, make sure a keyboard wrist rest is present to prevent carpal tunnel. Please ensure you have appropriate rights of Microsoft Outlook and approval to schedule meetings.

Materials: Computer with internet access and access to Microsoft Outlook 2007

Don't ever be late for a meeting again! Or even worse, completely forget the meeting!

As an office coordinator in a busy medical office, I know what it feels like to have the pressure of scheduling multiple meetings for many people. By creating this instructable of the basic steps to scheduling a meeting, hopefully you won't ever have to worry about missing a meeting again!

Step 1: Open Outlook

Once the application is open, make sure to select "Calendar" that is located on the bottom left hand column

Step 2: Select Date

Select the appropriate date then click on the icon that says "New". It is located next to a small graphic of a calendar.

Step 3: Complete Meeting Information

After clicking on the "New" icon, the appointment screen pops up.

You will want to complete the subject section so you know what kind of meeting is being scheduled.

Complete the location section.

Adjust the start and ending times to reflect the actual meeting time and how long it should last.

Step 4: Video of Other Features

Watch the video that will show some extra feature that may be beneficial to you!

Step 5: Save the Meeting

Once you have all the information you need regarding the meeting, make sure to "Save" it so it will show up on your calendar.

Step 6: View It

To view the meeting on you calendar, select the date you scheduled it for and you will see it.

Step 7: Delete It

If you need to delete the meeting:

Simply go the meeting on your calendar

Double click to open the appointment box

Click delete

Step 8: Ensure It Is Deleted

To be sure the meeting has been deleted and removed from your calendar; simply go to the date it was scheduled for and you will see the time is available again.
