Introduction: How to Tie an Angler's Loop

About: The ultimate knot tying tutorial channel. Anything from basic stopper knots, to more complicated loops.

Welcome to my channel How to Knot and in this video, I will be showing you how to tie an angler’s loop. Typically this knot is really only used in camping and fishing. This can be somewhat of a bulky knot, typically used for fishing line or smaller diameter ropes. Unfortunately it is difficult to untie after a load or if it has became wet, therefore it does jam somewhat easily.

Be sure to check out the descriptive video at the end to help for further understand.

Step 1:

Start by creating an overhand knot.

Feed the working end back through the overhand knot as if you were untying it.

Wrap the working end around the standing part and feed it back through the original overhand knot.

Tighten now.
