Introduction: How to Use Fritzing to Make a PCB

In this Instructable, I will show you how to use Fritzing. In this example, I am going to make a power shield for arduino which can be use to give power to the arduino with a battery.

Step 1: Components Required

To make the PCB, we require the following parts:

- A computer with fritzing (To make and order PCB)

- The 5v shield PCB

- Adafruit Powerboost

- 3V LED

- 220 ohm resistor

- Switch

- Headers for the shield

Step 2: Make the Layout

First add the components in the area for making the schematic. Then, click on one pin and drag it to the pin that needs to be connected. You can click on the route and reshape it as you want it. Alternatively, you can use the breadboad view and autoroute the schematic.

Step 3: Make the PCB!

The components will be placed on the PCB automatically at random places when you open the PCB view. The package sizes will be the ones you selected from the component selector. You need to place the components at the desired place and route them. You can use the autorouter but it can create weirdly shaped traces.
The PCB is now complete. You can either order it from a manufacturer or make yourself.
