How to Water Propagate Pilea Creeping Charlie (Pilea Nummulariifolia)

Well, now I'm going to show you my experience of propagating Pilea Creeping Charlie in the water. So, let's green your thumbs!

Step 1: You Guys Need

All you guys need:
1. Pilea creeping charlie plant
2. Cup or jar or small container
3. Scissors

4. Water

Step 2: Find and Cut

First, you have to find the healthy, green, big, and fresh stem.

Then, you can cut the stem right under the node. At least you have tree nodes per stem.

Step 3: Cut the Leaves

In this step, you have to cut the leaves that grow on the last node of your cutting.

Removing the leaves will make your cutting happy and keep it away from rot.

Step 4: Last

Put your stem in the water.
You just need a small amount of water, about 0.5 cm above the node.

In a week or two your cutting will sprout the roots.

And a week later, you can move your cutting into the soil.

Did you try this with other plants, for example lemon balm and several other mint plants.
You take the leaves f.e. with hot water for tea or cool table water. And if almost any leaves had been used you can put these little stems in water. After 1 or 2 weeks you propably see little roots for another generation.
