Nothing I have read anywhere seems to address this issue. I don't know if I need a footer or header. Nothing I try, based on what I have read, seems to work. I want to start pagination with "1" but starting on the sixth actual page of the document. My previous post was incorrect. I wish to start on page six of the document.

Question 2 years ago on Introduction

I completed a long document without paginating. I would like to add page numbers but I would like to begin with "page 1" (or "1") on what is really the fifth page. The first pages don't need page numbers. Nothing I have read in the Instructions for LibreOffice Writer seems to work. If I enter a page number in a footer, every page has that number. If I follow the instructions and include a Field in the footer the number is automatically entered as 5, which is the fifth page of the document but the page I wish to start with as "1". I have already put in more time than this seems to be worth. Please help! Thanx. davidg2e2.
