Introduction: How to Brick Your Digital Camera
or, the coolest instructable ever, gone wrong. More a cautionary tale than an instructable.
Step 1: Come Up With a Brilliant Instructable
The instructable I came up with was a novel (in that I found nothing quite like it) implementation of a sound activated flash. I was inspired be phinch's https://www.instructables.com/id/EE37CNT2V3EP286A6C/.
Step 2: Assemble the Project and Test
The assembly went quite smoothly and all along I documented the steps with my beloved fuji camera, reaching the testing phase I found everything worked quite well. and then.....
Step 3: Disaster, or Culpable Stupidity
Satisfied with the results I unslung the camera from around my neck and set it down right next to the disposable camera i was using as a flash, the noise triggered the flash unit..
I guess the EMP was pretty powerful.
Now I get nice pictures of blackness.
And my wifes mad.
oops.
It was a really cool project, when i have time I'll redoc it with my POS 1.3mpixel. but remember EMP KILLS.
