How to Calculate Weight Load for Sorbothane Vibration and Acoustic Isolators

Introduction: How to Calculate Weight Load for Sorbothane Vibration and Acoustic Isolators

About: We are developing a community of enthusiasts to find creative uses for our signature material, Sorbothane. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

This video explains how to calculate the weight load for your project using Isolate IT Sorbothane vibration isolators. To maximize the vibration isolation properties of Sorbothane and get closest to it's full capacity to absorb and isolate up to 94.7% of vibration weight loading is key. Calculating weight load is as simple as dividing the total weight of the item to be isolated by the number of pads/isolators. In most cases 4 is an ideal number of isolators. Ex: a 40lb item isolated by 4 pads has a weight load per pad of 10lbs. 40 lbs ÷ 4 = 10lbs. Find out more about weight loading and Isolate IT Sorbothane at http://www.IsolateIT.com
