Introduction: How to Create the Letters V and P Out of PVC Pipe
You will be creating two letter a V and P out of PVC pipe and fittings. The Letters can not exceed 24 inches by 24 inches.
The fittings you are allowed to use:
90 degree elbows
45 degree fittings
90 degree side outlets
T-joints
PVC pipe
Step 1: Parts Needed for the Letter P
To Make letter P you will need:
-Two "90" degree fittings
-Two "T-joints"
-Two "45" degree fittings
PVC pipe
one piece 10.4 inch of PVC
Three pieces of 2.5 inch PVC pipe
one piece of 5.5 inch PVC pipe
one piece of 5.2 inch PVC pipe
Step 2: Parts Needed for Letter V
-4 pieces of 11 inch PVC pipe -2 "90"degree side outlets -4 "90" degree fittings -1 piece of 3 inch PVC pipe -2 pieces of 2 inch PVC pipe
Step 3: First Step to Making the Letter V and P
First step to making the letter V out of PVC pipe you will need one piece of 11 inch PVC pipe and one 90 degree side outlet. Take the 11 inch PVC pipe and hold it straight up connect the 90 degree side outlet to the top of the 11 inch PVC pipe. Make sure the PVC pipe and the 90 degree side outlet are tightly connected. First step to making letter P out of PVC pipe you will need one piece of 10.4 inch PVC pipe and one T-joint. Take the 10.4 inch PVC pipe and hold it straight up connect the T-joint to the top of the 10.4 inch PVC pipe. Make sure the PVC pipe and T-joint are tightly connected.
Step 4: Second Step to Making the Letter V and P
The second step to making the letter V out of PVC pipe you will need one piece of 11 inch of PVC pipe. You will connect the piece of 11 inch PVC pipe to the 90 degree side outlet where the other 11 inch PVC pipe is connected to the 90 degree side outlet. There should be two pieces of 11 inch PVC pipe connected to two of the outlets on the 90 degree side outlet it should be in the shape of a V. Remember to make sure the PVC pipe is tightly connected to the 90 degree side outlet, so it does not disconnect. The second step to making the letter P out of PVC pipe you will need one piece of 5.2 inch PVC pipe. You will connect the 5.2 inch PVC pipe to the top side of the T-joint were the 10.4 inch PVC pipe is already connected to the bottom of the T-joint. It should appear as a straight line with a T-joint in the middle of the 10.4 inch PVC pipe and the 5.2 inch PVC pipe. Remember to make sure the PVC pipe is tightly connected to the T-joint.
Step 5: Third Step to Making the Letters V and P Out of PVC Pipe
The Third step to making the letter V out of PVC pipe you will need one piece of 3 inch PVC pipe. You will connect the 3 inch PVC pipe to the 90 degree side outlet with the two pieced of 11 inch PVC pipe that are already connected to the 90 degree side outlet. The Third step to making the letter P out of PVC pipe you will need one 90 degree fitting. You will place the 90 degree fitting on top of the 5.2 inch PVC pipe. The 90 degree fitting should be parallel to the T-joint that is connected to the 5.2 inch PVC pipe and the 10.4 inch PVC pipe. Make sure all the PVC pipe and fittings have a tight connection so they do not fall apart.
Step 6: Fourth Step to Making the Letters V and P Out of PVC Pipe
The fourth step to making the letter V out of PVC pipe you will need a 90 degree side outlet. You will connect the 90 degree side outlet to the top of the 3 inch piece of PVC pipe it should be parallel to the 90 degree side outlet that has the two pieces of 11 inch PVC pipe connected to it. For the fourth step to making the letter P out of PVC pipe you will need a piece of 5.5 inch PVC pipe. You will connect the 5.5 inch PVC pipe to the T-Joint were the top is connected by a piece of 5.2 inch PVC pipe and the bottom of the T-joint is connected by a 10.4 inch piece of PVC pipe.
Step 7: Fifth Step to Making the Letters V and P Out of PVC Pipe
The fifth step to making the letter V out of PVC pipe you will need two pieces of 11 inch PVC pipe. You will connect the two pieces of 11 inch PVC pipe to the 90 degree side outlet that is connected to the 3 inch piece of PVC pipe. The bottom of the V should be identical to the top. The fifth step in making the letter P you will need one 90 degree fitting You will connect the 90 degree fitting to the 5.5 inch piece of PVC pipe. The 90 degree angle should be facing upwards.
Step 8: Sixth Step to Creating the Letters V and P Out of PVC Pipe
In the sixth step of creating the letter V out of PVC pipe you will need two 90 degree fittings. You will connect tightly one of the 90 degree fittings to the end of the 11 inch PVC pipe that is on the top. Then you will connect the other 90 degree fitting to the other 11 inch PVC pipe that is on the top of the V. The 90 degree fittings should be facing downwards. The Sixth step to creating the letter P out of PVC pipe you will need one piece of 2.5 inch PVC pipe. You will connect the 2.5 inch PVC pipe to the top of the 90 degree fitting that is facing upwards.
Step 9: The Seventh Step to Creating the Letters V and P Out of PVC Pipe.
The Seventh step in creating the letter P out of PVC pipe you will need a 45 degree fitting and one piece of 2.5 inch PVC pipe. You will connect the 45 degree elbow to the 2.5 inch PVC pipe that is connected to the 90 degree elbow. Then connect another piece of 2.5 PVC pipe to the 45 degree elbow. The Seventh step in creating the letter V you will need two pieces of 2 inch PVC pipe. You will connect the two 2 inch PVC pipe to the two 90 degree elbows that are facing downwards.
Step 10: The Last Step to Creating the Letter P and V Out of PVC Pipe
The last step to creating the letter P out of PVC pipe you will need one 45 degree elbow and one piece of 2.5 inch PVC pipe. You will connect the 45 degree elbow to the 2.5 inch piece of PVC pipe. Then connect a piece of 2.5 inch PVC pipe to the 45 degree elbow. The part of the 2.5 inch PVC pipe that is not connected by the 45 degree elbow should connect to the 90 degree elbow and complete the letter P. The last step in creating the letter V out of PVC pipe you will need two 90 degree elbows. You will connect one of the 90 degree elbows to the 2 inch piece of PVC pipe and connect the 90 degree elbow to the bottom piece of the 11 inch PVC pipe. You repeat this to the other side of the V connecting one 90 degree elbow to the 2 inch PVC pipe and connecting the 90 degree elbow to the bottom piece of 11 inch PVC pipe. Making a completed V out of PVC pipe. Reminders remember to make sure all the PVC pipe and fittings are tightly connected you can use a hammer to insure the pieces are not going to fall apart.
