How to Go Fishing Virtually in Your Own Home!

This is a fun, easy way to entertain your kida for a while. This project virtually costs nothing, and proveides endless hours of fun for both you and your kids!

Step 1: What Youll Need

You are going to need a fishing rod, Clothes pins, and stuffed fish. For the Fishing rod, i am using a cheap, old 15$ Shakespeare light action Firebird rod and reel combo with 6lb test monofilament. It is a rod that i do not use often. i use Ugly Stik rods with mitchell reels for my actual bass fishing.

Step 2: Fish!

For the fish, there are a variety of options. If you dont have any, you can buy some. Identicards.com and Cabin Critters offer really cheap, strong, large, beautifully realistic stuffed fish. They offer a wide variety of offers with 10" fish for 7.88, and 17" for $14.88. Bass pro Shops offers a few, but there are only 3 or 4 types.I Reccomend the Walleye, Perch, and Largemouth Bass.

Step 3: Where to Fish

The best location i have found is over a balcony or steps. That way you get to "fight" the fish longer, and it makes it alot more fun.

Step 4: How to Fish

First, Drop your fish at the desired location below the Balcony.Then, drop your line down and have a child or parent hool a fish with the clothes pin. When your rod starts to bend, jerk up and start to reel. when you pull the fish up, unhook the clothespin and drop your line back down. Be sure to throw your fish back down so you can catch them again. Enjoy!
