Intro: How to Make a K'nex Mini Gatling Glove

This is a fun little accessory that can be added to costumes or used by itself in pretend battles. Although none of the parts actually work, (excepting the rotating barrels) this is still a fun project and an idea to maybe get this invented in real life. I don't know. Here are some of the features of the project.

  • fits onto a glove
  • rotating barrel
  • finger bending locks so you can't shoot your finger
  • thumb trigger
  • comfortable fit

here are the cons

  • doesn't actually work (duh)
  • not the most terrifying color scheme
  • not a super realistic idee

ok, so now we can start building.

STEP 1: Gathering Pieces

Just gather all of the pieces you see above. Or, just find them as you need them. It doesn't matter with this small project. Just make sure you have all of these things before you start building

STEP 2: Building the Gun

If you followed the pictures then you should be done with the construction! Great Job! Go to the next step to adjust your gun and add the glove.

STEP 3: Adding the Glove

Follow the pics to adjust the trigger. Then, slide the glove on. I recommend using a glove with the ends cut off so your fingertips aren't covered. If you have trouble with this part then send me a pic of what you have and private message me on my page here.

Also as you can see the trigger can go one either way. Your call. Thanks for building! Please Fav and comment!

Pretty cool! I probably will build one to test! Thanks!

can you private message me with a pic if you do? thanks

Well, you can't send pictures in PM's, but I'll show you some when I build it.

sure can't wait to see how it turns out! check out my website at thinkstir.weebly.com

wow these are pretty good websites! do you have any suggestions for mine?

Yeah sure, some useful tips. (It's coding, but only copy and paste). All of this stuff gets you pro Weebly features for free!

Remove Weebly Ad at the Bottom:

You'll need to utilize your footer, and to do so you should first remove the "Build a free site with Weebly footer" by doing this. http://www.webnots.com/remove-free-weebly-footer-and-customize-with-links/

Add Your Own Content to your Footer:

Next, you should add stuff to your footer, like contact links, or more content. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SdPAYiIx9Q

Add A Search Bar:

Then, add a search bar to the header. https://www.google.com/cse Customize it how you want, then add the code to the header section under "SEO" in settings. It will look best in the header, but the footer may also be suitable.

Add Favicon:

The favicon is the little image that displays next to the URL (in Internet Explorer) or on the page tab (Google Chrome). For example, the Instructables Favicon is the little misshapen orange circle with another smaller misshapen orange circle inside. Look at the top of your screen to find it.

To add your own, go to http://dddproduktionen.weebly.com/blog/how-to-add-a-favicon-with-a-free-weebly-account

Add Social Media Icons to the Footer: (These are the top six most popular SN's).

-Google+ https://developers.google.com/+/web/+1button/

-Twitter https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons

-Facebook https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button

-Pinterest http://business.pinterest.com/en/widget-builder#do_pin_it_button

-LinkedIn https://developer.linkedin.com/plugins

Once again go to Settings>SEO>Footer code, and paste these in. What you add first will appear to the left, second, to the right, and so on. I recommend that you start with a heading, simply add it to this code:

<!DOCTYPE html>

<html>

<body>

<h1>Your message

Then, you will most likely need to add

&nbsp

between each button to space them out evenly.

Final Tip:

By looking at your site, I personally would say the main thing you need is more content. Add a few more things to fill up your pages, and make the website seem full. However, try to stay away from adding too many words, as viewers tend to stay away from wordy sites. I see a lot of cool games on Thinkstir, so try adding more of them. Maybe a featured page for your home may be what you need.

Main things to remember:

-Organization is key.

-The color of your site should be aesthetically pleasing.

-Don't be too wordy or too empty on your pages.

-Think of the viewer, and test your interface from the public side.

-Take your time, don't stress out, avoid pressing deadlines, etc.

I hope this (long) comment can help you! If any links are broken let me know. I suggest you keep track of this comment as it contains most if not all of what you will need to know to build a successful site. Maintaining it is another topic entirely.

Also, please note, I am not a pro webmaster, I self taught these things to myself less than a year ago, so I can't answer everything. I am open to any questions you have though.

Cheers!

THIS IS SUPER GREAT! you have no idea how helpful this is! Thanks a lot!

I'm glad I could help, though I realize I counted the number of social networks wrong... There are actually five there... XD Good luck building! Send me a link when it's finished!

Examples of the above are on anacts.weebly.com . Check the header search bar, footer links, buttons, and so on for visual aid.

Also, in regards to this Instructable, the term is "favorite," not "heart." :P Saying "heart" is a little abnormal, no offense intended... :)

don't you have to pay for a header/footer?

Not if you use the above codes! Think of them as cheat codes to copy and past into the boxes on your site. Read the tutorials, they can explain it more than I can.

Love the thorough documentation and main image stance.

wow glad you appreciate all the pictures. I hate it when I start making something, but the person didn't include enough pictures! UG! Glad you like the stance. I thought you might
