Intro: How to Make a Fake Sbux Iced Caramel Macchiato

Ever have the thought: "man i want a Starbucks Iced Caramel Macchiato, but its like $5 for a venti?"  Well, with this guide, I will show you how to make a Caramel Macchiato at home in 3 steps.  This is a tasty treat to relax with on a warm day.

Ingredients:
Ice
2 Shots of Espresso
Caramel Sauce
8-9 Oz of Whole Milk (or Lowfat or Skim)

I like Caramel Macchitos from Sbux. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  I dedicate this guide to my corporate overlords for creating a tasty (and no so authentic) coffee drink.  If you hate Starbucks, then read up on the last page of this guide: Final Thoughts.

STEP 1: Drizzle Caramel the Caramel

Drizzle the caramel onto the sides of your glass.

STEP 2: Drop in a Few Pieces of Ice and Pour in the Milk

Carefully drop in the ice. Pour in the milk SLOWLY. This will prevent the milk from flushing the caramel off the sides of the glass.

STEP 3: Slowly Pour in the Espresso

Slowly pour in the espresso. This will prevent the espresso and milk from mixing, providing a nice separation effect of liquids. Top off the drink with some more caramel sauce.

STEP 4: Final Thoughts

Thanks for reading.

Adjust the quantities of the ingredients to your liking.  More caramel for sweetness. More espresso if you like a stronger drink.

Looks very refreshing! I will definitely try this in a few minutes! xD
You forgot a very key ingredient: vanilla. As a Starbucks Barista, I can tell you that caramel macchiatos are pumps of vanilla in the bottom (3-4-5, 3-4-6 if it's iced), then milk, shots of espresso on top, and caramel drizzle above the espresso. Easy enough recipe. An upside down caramel macchiato is just the shots on top of the vanilla rather than on top of the milk.
