Introduction: How to Make a Swedish Fire Torch (AKA Canadian Candle)

It's known that during the Thirty Years War that took place in Europe 1618 - 1648 soldiers used these torches for heating,
lighting and cooking.

It's really great for cooking when you are camping and it's easy to ignite.

Step 1: Get a Piece of Wood
To start with, you need a piece of log. Any kind of wood will do, as long as it's dry.

Step 2: Do the Cuts
If you're using a bigger log you can make more than two cuts.
It's easier to make the cuts when the piece of wood is still attached with a longer log.

Step 3: Put Kindling in the Cuts
Use paper and sticks as fuel to start the fire.
