How to Make a Hand Bag Out of a Pair of Jeans

So the other day I finished my lessons and I was bored. My mum was making a selection of the clothes that needed to be in the trash and I thought that I could use them a bit more, but not as jeans.

I managed to make a beautiful handbag out of a single jean, I still have the second one!

I'll show you how to do it!

I hope you have fun doing it, as I did, and show me your result.

Step 1: Choose Your Jeans and Cut Them Off

That's the essential. You have to choose the jeans that you think suit better your style.

Once you have chosen them, cut the top part of one of the jeans, without cutting the outside part, because it will be easier to sew in the next step, and let the rest in a side (as you can see in the image). The other part of the trousers that you don't want to use it isn't needed anymore, so you can do another one if you want to, or throw them.

Step 2: the Sewing Work

You need to sew the side part that you cut and the bottom part of the handbag.

Remember that one of the sides is already sewed, as long as you didn't cut it. And you can't saw the top part, because in that case you won't be able to put things inside.

You need to make a hole where you are going to put the belt of the handbag. I used a silver lace (as you can see in the image).

Step 3: Decorate

You can decorate your hadbag if you want to. I used the rest of the silver lace.

You can also put some buttons on it to make the closing of the hand bag easier, or a pants zipper on the top part that isn't sewed.

And that's the result.
