Introduction: How to Make a Musical Booby Trap
In this instructable, i will show you how to easily create a sound prank.

Step 1: Making Sure
Make sure the card is a musical one (plays sound when you open it). Check for the white tab in the picture.
Step 2: Revealing the Chip
Take off the inside cover (Usually what is written on). What you see should look something like you see above:
Step 3: Removing the Chip
Cut out the chip. Remove the white plastic tab, you won't be needing that. Now cut out a small piece of paper and put that where the white tab was. The music/sound should stop playing.
Step 4: Finish It Up
Get a piece of string (it doesn't matter what kind, but thread works best). Tape that to the paper you put under the metal tab. That is your finished prank!
Step 5: How to Use
Tape the chip to a stationary surface. Tape/tie the string to the thing you want to trigger the noise. Make sure it is hidden. If it works, the object being picked up/moved will trigger the sound. This is great for things like doors, car keys, etc. Have fun pranking!
