Introduction: How to Make Ducktape Shoes

About: Love to play with ducktape and do crafts.

This preview will show how to make ducktape shoes

Step 1: Gather Supplies

1 roll of duck tape

1 pair of laces

scissors

a hole punch

2 pieces of neoprene [size depends on the length and width of your feet]

Step 2: Neoprene Soles

Set your foot on the neoprene and trace out the shape of your foot.

Cut the shape out and put your foot on top. (You could also take an old pair of shoes and reuse the rubber sole.)

Cut a strip of duck tape (this will depend on the width of your foot, for my foot I used about a 7" piece) and wrap a piece of duck tape sticky side up around the top of your foot just below your toes. The duck tape is stuck to the top of the neoprene under your foot.

Step 3: Building the Top Part of the Shoe

Put another piece of duck tape over the front of your toes - sticky side up.

The duck tape is stuck to the top part of the neoprene just under your foot.

Step 4: Top of the Duck Tape Shoe... Continued

Cover your big toe with the next strip of duck tape (sticky side up)

Step 5: Top of the Duck Tape Shoe... Continued

Now cover your little toes

Step 6: Top of the Duck Tape Shoe... Continued

Wrap a piece of duck tape over all your toes to make it neat.

The top is all sticky but don't worry we will be covering it soon.

Step 7: The Tongue of the Shoe

Cut a strip were the tounge of the shoe will be.

Step 8: The Tongue of the Shoe... Continued

Make the tongue longer by adding another strip of duct tape [sticky side up]

Step 9: The Tongue of the Shoe... Continued

Put duck tape over the sticky part of the tongue.

So now it is not sticky on either side of the tongue.

Step 10: Building the Sides of the Shoe

Extend the sides by putting duck tape sticky side out.

Then cover it with another piece of duck tape sticky side down so its now smooth on both sides.

Do this on the right and left side of the shoe.

Step 11: Covering the Top of the Shoe

Cover the top with pieces of duck tape so it is now smooth on the top and inside of the shoe.

Step 12: The Back of the Shoe

Cover the heel by putting a piece of duck tape sticky side out. Stick it to the inside of the sides you just created.

Then cover it with another piece sticky side in so it is smooth on the outside of the shoe. Wrap this piece around the heel of the foot so it sticks to both sides.

Step 13: Adding Laces

Take a small piece of duck tape [2" long x .5" wide]

Take another smaller piece of duck tape [ .75" long x .5" wide] and put it in the center of first piece of duck tape - so you have a 2" long piece of duck tape that has a non sticky center.

Make a little bump on the tounge of the shoe (this is where the laces will string through) Attach another piece of duck tape to both sides of the tongue to make it wider. Remember to cover both sides so it remains smooth on the outside and inside.

Step 14: Adding Laces... Continued

Use the hole puncher and add 4-5 holes on each side then string the laces through

Step 15: Repeat Steps 1 - 14 for Second Shoe

Remember to do the other foot.

Can decorate any way you want - use colored duck tape, use sharpie markers and draw on them,

paint your favorite logos on them or create your own.
