Introduction: How to Make Huge Posters.

About: I'm Mikey!

Featured, front page on 4/06/08! :-)

This Instructables shows you how to make huge posters, with just an image in JPEG format, a computer, printer, and tape.

Let's get to work!
I hope you like my Instructable, don't forget to rate, or comment!

Step 1: Items.

That's it.

Step 2: Get Your Image.

Get any image, just make sure it is in JPEG format.

For an example, I am using the Instructables Robot for my poster.

Yes, it is in JPEG format.

Step 3: Go to the Website.

To start, go to this website, and click Step 1.

If you're too tired/ lazy to click that link, click this link. It will automatically take you to Step 1.

Once you get there, click the "browse" button, and upload your image.
Then, click continue.

Click the little "i" in the top left hand corner of the image to see it full size.

Step 4: Changing Stuff Around.

Now you have the chance to edit stuff around.

Set the thing to Letter (US) if you have letter sized paper (that is the normal one everybody uses.
If you use A4 paper, obviously, click the A4 thing.

Set it to Portrait or Landscape, whichever type you like.

Now, there should be something like this:
< (a number should be here) > pages wide
Example: < 3 > pages wide

Edit your image until you get it the way you want, and then click "Continue".

I decided to make my robot a portrait, 2 pages wide, as I did to my teacher's classroom...
Yes, I set it to A4.

Click continue, then move on.

Step 5: PDF Downloading Time.

Now is the ultimate hard part: downloading.
Obviously I'm kidding.

It should say Congratulations, blah blah zakawakacha, and stuff like that.

They should give you a link to a PDF you download that contains your image.
I recommend you check out your image at 100% to see what it will look when printed out, so it will look nice and not all pixelized.

Step 6: Printing.

Okay, once you open the PDF, it should look like the first image. In the first image, you can see that drop down thing.
Do that, and change it to 100%. Then it shows what your papers will look like once printed out.

In picture 2, just click that Print button.

In picture 3, there are all your settings. Click the printer that you are going to use for this fiercesome battle, and then click print.

Once you do that, print out the images.

I only got 4 papers, so then, move onto the next step(s).

Step 7: Cutting.

In this wild step, I show you how to cut paper.

Not really, there's just images on cutting it with notes.

Picture 1: The scissors of doom.
Picture 2: He's been sliced in half!
Picture 3: He's been put back together, badly.
Picture 4: Basically, you just want to cut off all the white parts on the paper.
You can leave the white on the bottom/ top/ way on the sides.

If you are some weirdo, leave all the white there and move onto the next step for taping.

If you cut it all and are not weird, you are forced to be weird and move onto the next step.

Step 8: Taping.

Everybody knows how to tape right?

Well, you might not.

Just get a piece of tape (long pieces, about 5-6 inches each), and put it on the sides.

Just connect the picture with the tape.
It's like a puzzle!

Yeah, you can do it!
Can you help us find where the tape is?

Left?

Left?

Thanks Dora the Explorer!

Once you finish taping it, it should look like picture .

Now go hang it on your freaking wall/ door/ whatever.

Step 9: You're Done.

I hope you liked this Instructable!

Oh, did I miss something?

You're done.
No, no, I didn't miss it... it was the step title.
Though this is not really a step.

Thanks for checking out my Instructable, don't forget to comment or rate if you like!
