Introduction: How to Read a Circuit Diagram
This is how to read a circuit diagram.
Step 1: Symbols
The picture above shows you a few symbols. A line is a wire. A zigzag is a resistor. A rectangle with two lines not touching is also a resistor.
Two lines with each a line coming out and not touching is a capacitor. In a capacitor, if there is a + sign, then the capacitor is polarized. the side with the + is positive.
Step 2: Connection
If there is a dot between two wires, then the two wires are connected. Otherwise they are not connected.
