While it might seem like it works at first, super glue will not last. The inside of your vehicle can reach extreme temperatures, and the super glue will fail. You have to use an adhesive made for extreme temps, that's why there is an adhesive made specifically for reattaching rear view mirrors, Check an auto parts store.
I learnt this the hard way. Also while working at an auto parts store it was one of the regular questions I'd get.
