A proper and a frequent way of preforming way of shooting is referred to as form. This manual contains the keys steps to creating and preforming a deadly shot.
Step 1: Things You Need to Get Started
Their are certain tools you need before you can begin to construct your shot. This list is made up of; a leather basketball, a regulation size basketball hoop, basketball shoes, athletic clothing, and a basketball court.
Step 2: Making a Good Base
The first thing you do while making a consistent shot is get a good base. Your feet need to be shoulder width apart, and your toes need to face in the same direction of the hoop.
Step 3: The Correct Way to Jump
When shooting the ball your suppose to bend at the knees and waist. On the follow through of the shot you should either jump directly towards to the ceiling or slightly forward ,NEVER BACKWARDS!
Step 4: How to Place the Ball
When shooting the ball your fingers need to be spread and the ball is suppose to rest on your fingertips, doing that gives our ball backspin which in turn helps the ball hit the rim softly and gives the shooter friendly rolls.
Step 5: Flick Your Wrist(Following Through Part )
Flicking your wrist is an important part of shooting the ball, by flicking your wrist and putting your hand all the way through that motion it puts ark on your shot which increases the odds of the ball going in because it compensates for other imperfections on that exact shot. Ark is like an arch in your shot from where the ball leaves your hand and meets the rim.
Step 6: Keeping Your Elbow In(Following Through Part)
Keeping your elbow in makes any shot more successful because it puts the important ark in your shot also puts your shot in a straight line fire position that way the ball always goes where you intend it.
Step 7: Shooting on the Way Up
Shooting on the way means you follow through or let the ball go at the top of your jump or launch of the shot. Shooting at the to of your release of the ball is another step of giving your ark ,soft touch, and makes your shot extremely more consistent.
Step 8: Ball Positioning
The ball while in your hands should be placed chest high or above, this just makes your shot way faster. its the difference between getting your shot blocked or off before the buzzer and winning or losing.
Step 9: Using Your Off Hand
Your opposite hand is used specifically to guide the ball. Your shooting hand is the trigger and your off hand is the scope or aim utensil.
Step 10: All One Smooth Flowing Motion
Your shot is closely related to rhythm just like dancing, when its smooth and flowing its pretty, same thing with shooting when its one motion from beginning to end it makes the percentage you make and miss.
