How to Shoot a Lay-up!

Introduction: How to Shoot a Lay-up!

In basketball, one of the greatest shots that you can make so you can get easy points, are lay-ups. Lay-ups are very easy and simple, so with my help, I can help you make them.

Step 1: First Gather These Supplies:

1 basketball (men's or women's will work)

1 basketball goal (10 ft. tall)

Step 2: Step #1

      First take your basketball.

Step 3: Step #2

Take a good angle at the basket. Hint: Your feet should be square with the rim.

Step 4: Step #3

        Dribble slowly towards the rim.

Step 5: Step #4

When you are 8-10 feet away, pick up your dribble and take two steps.

Step 6: Step #5

Then, lift up your outside foot and use your outside arm to shoot the ball.

It should like these pictures.

Step 7: Step #6

Try to hit the upper right hand corner of the red box.

Step 8: Step #7

Keep on doing this until you perfect this shot.

Step 9: Step #8

After that, try the otherside doing the exact same thing.

Step 10: Step #9

Now you should be able to make a lay-up on any side, everyday.

Step 11: Step #10

Use this skill in a basketball game to score major points.
