Intro: How to Use R4i Gold 3ds Rts Real Time Save

The following guides will help you to enable the real time save function on your r4i gold 3ds rts card, and set the hotkeys. In other words, you will be able to save during the game. For your information, the r4i gold 3ds rts card is currently the best flashcart available for all the system consoles, including the latest version 3ds, 3ds xl, 2ds , dsi and ds console. It allows you to play ds backups, music and videos, which expands the features of your Nintendo consoles. r4flashcart.com is where I ordered mine, they work pretty good and ships fast.

STEP 1: Step 1. Set Up Your R4i Gold Card

For first time users, follow my previous post to set up your r4i gold card here.

STEP 2: Step 2. Access the Real Time Save Menu

Power on your Nintendo 3DS/2DS/DSI/DS console, and go to the game list. highlight the game which you want to play, and click the START button.

STEP 3: Step 3. Select Settings

Select settings, and it will take you to system settings, click the " → " button to select patches. Turn on the rts (real time save) function and click OK to confirm.

STEP 4: Step 4. Done

Start playing games, and press the LEFT+RIGHTN+A+B+↓ button on your console at the same time whenever you want to quit and save the game. And press the hotkeys again when you come back and want to continue the game.

I followed instructions: LEFT+RIGHTN+A+B+↓ to activate Real Time Save (RTS) on my DSi using R4i 3DS RTS Flash Cart, but to no avail. Can anyone help??? First off -- what do they mean LEFT + RIGHTN + A + B and Down? Is the LEFT and Right suppose to be the "shoulder" buttons on the DSi? It should be noted that I have activated the RTS function on all my games but nothing seems to work! Despite being able to play all my favorite DSi games, it's really not as much fun when unable to save the games at will. If anyone can comment with a proposed solution at my email: vin50c@gmail.com it would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you look at the "Reset Hotkey" function in the top of the picture of their settings (Step 3), you'll see that the button combination is the same as what they use for reset. So whatever key combination you choose for resetting your games is the same key combo you'll use to save with this feature.

Anybody? I have an R4i 3DS RTS Flash Cart. Everything works fine, except the "RTS" (Real Time Save). I enabled the RTS feature with all my installed games, but despite following the instructions which say: Simultaneously press LEFT+ RIGHT+ A+B with DOWN buttons, nothing happens. My first question is: What is the LEFT+RIGHT, is it the "shoulder" buttons on my DSi? Can anyone help? Despite being able to play all my favorite DS games, it's not as much fun if I can not save in real time! Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me as I've been struggling with this for some time!
